GRAPHIS SCRIPTA LICHEN

With dark hieroglyph-like or rune-like symbols written on tree bark, this lichen tells us that the moist forest surrounding it is biologically rich and may harbor rare species.

Graphis Scripta

The main hero – the Graphis scripta lichen – and the themes – forest management and air quality. Concerts were organized in July 2009 in two lichen-rich locations: Daugmale and Strenči.

The Graphis Scripta DVD received Latvia’s Music Award for Best Concert Recording in 2009.
