Geastrum
In Latvia, earthstar species are rare, with most of them listed in the Red Book and the Protected Species List.
This year, everyone interested had the opportunity to create an individual concert hall within their circle of friends and family, as the concert and workshops took place online.
The project was implemented with the support of the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund and Valka Municipality.

“Geastrum. Barefoot” points to the idea of humans striving to feel, see and hear. This time, it is the messages of the funghi’s hyphae that, for this year’s Concerthall, once again affirm new scientific discoveries and incredible wonders of nature right before our eyes. The musical interpretation of the Nature Concerthall is about the Gray Kingdom and the Mushroom Flowers, illuminated and accompanied on their journey by the Earthstar.
